A SWINDON man who died after being struck by a train has been named as Adrian Kowalik. Police are not treating the death, in the Kingshill area near John Lewis at Home, as suspicious.
Mr Kowalik, 30, of Union Street, Old Town, was officially identified on Wednesday, June 26.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police said in a statement: "The incident, which was reported to police at 5.10pm on Wednesday, 19 June, is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“The train involved was a Reading – Bristol Temple Meads service.
“The line was handed back to Network Rail at 6.18pm. A file is being prepared for the coroner."
The incident caused severe disruption to train services. Trains from Swindon station were either cancelled or delayed by up to 90 minutes in both directions.
